  • The Iridium Indoor Extender is a 19-inch 1RU chassis that carries Iridium signals from an outdoor satellite antenna over fiber into a building's interior; compatible versions are also available for Globalstar, Inmarsat and Thuraya systems. The indoor chassis supports up to four phone/cradle or re-radiating antenna connections, and outdoor components are housed in IP-67-rated enclosures. The fiber link allows the indoor equipment to be located roughly up to 1 km away from the outdoor line-of-sight antenna.
