The J3U Plug-in Modules are a family of RFoF modules for the J3U chassis, covering Quad Tx/Rx, single/dual Tx/Rx, RF diversity and optical diversity modules.

  • The J3U Plug-in Modules span several RFoF module types for the J3U chassis: the J3U Quad Tx/Rx, where each of up to 4 transmit/receive channels is a factory-configured OZ200 (30 MHz to 3/4/6 GHz, 60 dB dynamic range); single/dual J3U Tx/Rx or transceiver modules (30 MHz to 3 GHz, optionally 6 GHz); and the J3U RF Diversity (30 MHz to 6 GHz) and J3U Optical Diversity (1270-1610 nm) switching modules that provide 1+1 and N+1 redundancy. All module types are hot-swappable and controllable via SNMP, web or GUI.

    • J3U Quad Tx/Rx: up to 4 Tx/Rx channels (each an OZ200); 30 MHz - 3/4/6 GHz; 60 dB dynamic range; 30 dB gain adjustment; -20C to +55C operation; CWDM; optional AGC
    • J3U Tx/Rx: single/dual transmitter, receiver or transceiver; 30 MHz - 3 GHz (optional 6 GHz); -20C to +50C operation; cooled or uncooled isolated DFB laser; automatic optical power control
    • J3U RF Diversity: 1+1 and N+1 redundancy; 30 MHz - 6 GHz; 2:2, 2:1 switches and 1:2 splitters; occupies one of 16 slots
    • J3U Optical Diversity: 1+1 and N+1 redundancy; 1270-1610 nm wavelength range; 2:2, 2:1 switches and 1:2 splitters
    • JS14 Managed Switch: four 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports, optional one Gigabit SFP port; IEEE 802.3/u/x/z compliant; industrial-grade L2 switch, remotely updatable firmware
    • Power supplies: 85-264 VAC or 38-72 VDC (dual module); 12V backplane output; N+1 redundancy support
