OZ18xx

The OZ18xx is an indoor flange-mount RFoF module supporting frequencies up to 60 GHz.

  • Product Summary
  • Product Details
  • The OZ18xx is an indoor flange-mount module that can be configured as a transmitter, receiver or transceiver, carrying RF signals over fiber at frequencies up to 60 GHz. Depending on frequency it uses 50 Ohm SMA, K or V type RF connectors, with an FC/APC (or SC/APC) optical bulkhead port. It offers direct or externally modulated transmitter options, integrated WDM for bidirectional traffic on a single fiber, and closed-loop optical power control.

    • Frequency range: up to 60 GHz
    • RF interface: 50 Ohm SMA, K or V connector (V type at higher frequencies)
    • Optical interface: FC/APC bulkhead (SC/APC option available)
    • Dimensions: 190 x 127 x 38 mm, weight approx 1 kg
    • Supply voltage: +12 VDC
    • Operating temperature: -40C to +65C standard, optional -20C to +85C
    • Wavelengths: 1310 nm, 1550 nm, DWDM options
    • Laser configuration: direct-modulation or externally modulated transmitter
    • Cooled DFB laser diode with built-in thermoelectric cooler (TEC)
    • Closed-loop transmitter optical power control
    • Receiver: high-performance InGaAs photodiode
    • Integrated WDM for bidirectional traffic on a single fiber
    • Optional: +15/+25/+35 dB integrated LNA or receiver post-amplifier, 20 kHz lower roll-off frequency, I2C interface, IP-67 outdoor enclosure, J-Chassis plug-in form factor

Applications: delay lines, phased arrays, microwave antenna distribution, frequency distribution systems, multi-band satcom transport, electronic warfare, shipboard RF distribution.
