Why time synchronization is the quiet backbone of infrastructure

In critical infrastructure, accurate time is more than a clock value. Log correlation, incident investigation, network security, transaction ordering, telecom synchronization, industrial automation and forensic analysis all depend on a common time reference. NTP and PTP serve different layers

A strong design starts by classifying which systems need which level of accuracy. PTP is not necessary everywhere, and NTP should not be expected to solve microsecond-grade requirements on its own.
